Sotogrande Golf
A must-stop for golf lovers
An exciting countryside integrated into the natural environment
The Real Club de Golf de Sotogrande is considered one of Robert Trent Jones’ masterpieces. The course, a par 72 of 6,304 metres, has long tees, wide fairways, and elevated, subtly shaped and fast greens that contain the greatest difficulty of the course.
Of the hundred or so bunkers on the course, 69 are located around the greens, which requires the player to be as accurate as possible when attacking the flags. The variety of the holes is another of the characteristics of Sotogrande, variety not only in shapes and distances, but also in vegetation: the mixture of cork oaks, pines, palm trees and other species give the course a great personality and beauty.
Golf Valderrama
Valderrama is a private members’ club which allows play to visitors at certain times of the day. The climate is ideal for golf all year round.
The Valderrama Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1974 and considered one of the 100 best courses in the world, host of the 1997 Ryder Cup and number 1 in Continental Europe since 1988.
It is a par 71 measuring 6390 metres from the Championship Tees. The fairways of the course have been described by experts and professional players as the best in Europe, if not the World. It is not an easy course, requiring great accuracy and strategy to play it successfully. Always exquisitely maintained, Valderrama is one of those courses that any player should enjoy at least once in a lifetime.
